It is time

11 Jan

I’ve been toying with the idea of blogging for a long time, but I’ve never taken the steps to jump in. Now seems like the right time because this year I’ve decided to be bold and mind my own business. By minding my own business, I mean to take care of those things that are most important to me and my family. I began minding my own business a while ago, and I’ve learned a lot. I’ve learned that when you mind your own business, you don’t have time to dabble in the business of others. You don’t worry about what your neighbors, friends and co-workers are doing, and the drama begins to magically disappear from your life. Not that life becomes boring. In fact, life becomes more exciting because every moment revolves around people and things you really care about. Your finances improve. The condition of your home and family life improve. Your health improves and you sleep better.

Not that life is perfect, it’s not, but the challenges and more difficult moments become less drama filled and more intriguing. Life becomes a game, and every day you get to play it the way you choose. Minding your own business also changes your vocabulary. You eliminate certain phrases like “I don’t have time” because you realize we all have 24 hours in a day. It’s how we choose to live those hours that make a difference. Other phrases you eliminate are “I don’t have a choice” “That’s just the way I am” “That’s the way things are” because as you mind your own business you realize you have so much more power than you realized before. You have choices. You can change yourself and you circumstances and if you really want to, you can change the world. You choose every day what to focus upon. You can choose to be happy, to be loving, to be hopeful and to do your best always. Today and most days, I choose that path and it has made an incredibly positive impact in my life. I hope you’ll join me and live your best life too. Have a great day!!
